It's wild how something you're passionate about can lead to meeting people you would never imagine meeting. I used to sit in my room and take a Sharpie to my crisp all whites. Doodling whatever design came to my head. You couldn't tell me they weren't FLY. I'm sure it seemed odd to people, but I always wanted to stand out.
Fast forward to now and I've been customizing shoes officially for about 7 years now. I've been fortunate to work with plenty of people and a few professional athletes. "Stay ready, so you don't have to get ready", "Luck is when preparation meets opportunity" & "When opportunity comes it is too late to prepare", these quotes all embody the same message, don't waste your opportunity by not being ready. I was given an opportunity to meet former All-Pro, Robert Griffith, one night at an event at my neighbor's house and now we are working together. Together, we will be bringing custom designed shoes to NFL fans all over.
I was determined to show him what I was capable of, so I started to brainstorm with one of my closest friends, and we put together two designs that I felt would generate enough business for him to want to partner with me. Initially, we thought it would be easier to only do the Minnesota Vikings since that was the team he is most recognized being a member of. Seeing the feedback and demand for the shoes though, we realized there is a market for all 32 teams.
